Matriculants Urged To Apply For NSFAS Funding

As the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the chance to apply for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

"The application window will close on 15 December 2024, and you will find not many days left to submit applications. Suitable pupils are urged to apply promptly to secure economic help for their post-school education," Nkabane said.

Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper 3.

Nkabane said this pivotal moment marks the fruits of several years of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their examinations with perseverance and self esteem.

With Just above 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 website part-time candidates from across South Africa sit for this year's matric tests, throughout South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public from the department's preparedness to administer the tests efficiently.

Nkabane highlighted a variety of possibilities accessible throughout the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, which happens to be open up to all matriculants in search of more education and skills development.

The PSET system features:

• Community Education and Training (CET) colleges: Giving skills development and general education how to upload documents on nsfas for students who want to continue learning.
